Take calls and e-mails from users and respond, performing first level support and resolving as many of the issues as possible based on experience.
Performs necessary repairs on desktop or printer hardware and/or operating systems which may include the replacement of system boards, hard drives, loading and testing software applications, identifying loose, broken or missing terminations.
Configures and installs desktops, printers, assists with servers, assists with network hardware, software and operating systems.
Maintains documentation of all hardware and software implementation, maintenance and upgrades. This includes equipment and software inventories, maintenance documentation, and problem tickets.
Maintains a high level of security and complies with the guidelines established in the Security Manuals.
Provides information and updates to the appropriate security manuals in a timely fashion.
Maintains up-to-date security software releases within our network (server and desktop virus protection software and updates, Internet mail security software and filters, etc.)
Assists other Network Administrators and Systems Development staff on projects as assigned.
Ensures that appropriate backups are performed, monitored and maintained for all servers and appropriate devices.
Ensures the efficient utilization of company resources. Prioritizes tasks based on defined service level agreements.
Maintains and protects company assets and property.
Maintains and administer hardware / software inventory
Escalates problems and issues to the appropriate manager.
